So I can not find any good place to Role Play Harry Potter so I though I would try to start something here and then go somewhere else to do it. So I was thinking Harry and his friends missed his 7th year and well the 7th year at Hogwarts was a total fiasco. So all of the people that would be out of Hogwarts are going to go back to do the 7th year over. And the Role Play would start at the beginning of the school year. Just like all of the Harry Potter books I will have something that you need to figure out. I will give hints to what it is throughout the RP. So what I mean is that we will act like the Harry Potter characters and try to figure out the mystery. I want this role play to be very similar to the books. I want all of the characters that we can get in it and if I or anyone else needs to we can be more than one person. So just wait here and we will decide where to go to do the Role Play. i have read the harry potter books and the shadow children books by margerate peaterson haddix. i am also into reading books about World War II. I read a good WWII book just before re-reading the 5th, 6th, and 7th books in the shadow children saga. I also found this wiki link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics_of_Harry_Potter#Racism.2C_ethnic_cleansing.2C_and_Nazism if you change a few names and places you can find a striking resembelence between the books and WWII. Am I the only one who thinks this? if u don't, read them and look for it. (the 5th and 6th of SC have the strongest resembelence. more

Resolved Question: Did you know that JK Rowling has screwed up?

Ever since book 4, there have been little glitches in the storylines and details. For example: In the GOF, Harry saw Cedric die. On page 626 it says "Hermione turned back to the horseless carriges as Krum signed a scrap of paper for Ron". That is after Cedric dies, and Harry cant see the thestrals. But in #5, Harry sees them. This shows just one way of how JK makes it up as she goes along, not really paying attention to things she has already written. In COS and POA, it always says that Moaning Myrtle lives in the U bend of the toilet, but in book 4 it says she lives in the S bend. I personally think that The Golblet of Fire was the worst written one, but The Order of the Phoenix was absolute crap. Dont get me wrong, I love Harry Potter, I just read the the 7th for the hundredth time, I just hate the little minor mistakes. I dont know how popular this is, but there was a rumour that JK hired a team of authors to help her with book 6, before she could finish it off herself with a good plot. Thats beleivable. And my grandmothers friend from Australia has Harry Potters # 1, 2 and 3, and they were printed babout 60 years ago. She actually has the copies, and she read them as a kid. So that could mean that JK found those, and bought the rights to continue the story. Books 1-3 could be on their own, because Harry goes from a no-name loser with no family to having great friends and a godfather, and knowing the truth about his past. That was true, by the way. And I still say I am a total HP fan.No no, not plagerized, bought. You can buy rights and stuff. And if the old author is dead, and they werent popular, no one would care. more

So, I'm writing a story that's a lot different than what I normally do. It's about a girl who's friends die in an accident caused by a drunk driver. She decides to seek revenge and a long the way, you get to see her become slowly insane and obsessed with getting revenge on this guy. I got this idea when I was in the 6/7th grade (I'm in 11th grade now), but I'm rewriting the story to make it darker and longer than it was originally going to be. I do plan to review it again and get it published once I'm out of high school, so really, anything that's wrong with it, please point it out to me. This is the prologue. ------ An ordinary day, an ordinary life. The life of a 16 year old who just received her license. Seems great, right? Wrong. The life many dream of, in fact. Great friends, great family, perfect grades, no medical problems, you name it. I had recently received my license and me and my friends were planning to spend the whole Friday afternoon shopping in celebration. I could not wait! It all started after-school. I met up with my friend Josephine, Zoey, and Rachel. “Hey guys!” I called, walking to where they were waiting at. “Hey chauffeur!” Rachel responded, walking up to me, her blond hair blowing a bit in the wind and the other two following close behind. “Stop that Ray.” I said, digging out my keys from the purse. “So, where we goin’ first?” Josephine asked, playing with her brown hair. “Well, I thought we could hit up the mall and then stop by Arby’s for dinner, then go to the movie theater and catch the latest showing of that one new film. Damn mall parking. And then, to add to that, Rachel took about an hour looking for the perfect pair of jeans. “I’m growing old here Rachel! See, look, I’ve even started growing gray hair!” I said sitting lazily on the benches for the fitting room. “SHUT UP!” she called back from one of the fitting rooms. “C’mon, Rachel! How long does it take to try on one pair of jeans?!” Zoey complained, blowing her black hair out of her face, a result of boredom. “An eternity if you keep complaining!” “You’re going to keep trying on jeans when you’re dead?” I asked. “Is that even possible?” Josephine asked, laying face down on the bench opposite me and Zoey. “Not by a long shot.” Zoey answered. “No wonder Rachel failed Biology last year.” I said. “I CAN HEAR YOU GUYS! I’m done.” she said, putting the jeans into the basket with an attitude. “Finally.” we said in unison as we got up off the benches. We went to a few more stores after that and I got to buy some cute new outfits, some dvds of shows I like, and of course, new shoes. We went to Arby’s as we said we would do and I order a number one while the others all ordered a number 2. We talked about many things, ranging from boys, to the new stuff we got, to plain old family drama. We went to the movie theater and got front row seats “Guys, I think Rachel needs help carrying the popcorn and drinks.” I said, looking at Rachel struggling to make it through the door. “I’ll help her.” Zoey said, getting up to go and help Rachel. “Aww, I missed the previews.” Rachel said sadly as the movie’s title came on the screen.” “Previews are boring anyway.” Josephine said, grabbing her popcorn. “Not to me, I like them.” “Only you would like previews bebetter than the movie.” I said to her. “SSSSHHH” somebody in back of us hissed. Later that night, as we were going home from the theater, is when all hell broke loose and my life would change forever. A Toyota. A Honda. A drunk driver. Four teenage girls. One night. and three lives to be lost. ------ chapter 1 so far Beep Beep Beep Beep Very tired, I woke up in some weird room. I looked to my left and there was a machine checking my heart rate. To my right was an IV stand. I tried to sit up, but severe pain prevented me from doing that. I lifted my arm up and felt a bandage wrapped around my head. I then began to cry. What the hell happened to me? Where’s Zoey? Where’s Josephine? Where’s Rachel? My crying became louder “WHERE ARE MY FRIENDS?!” I screamed. A nurse that was passing by suddenly stopped and rushed into my room. She quickly checked my pulse and wrote something down on the clipboard. She then went off to do who knows what. I really didn’t care.I took the needle out of my arm and the things to the machine off my chest and persevering through the pain, I slowly got up. As soon as I got to the door, I saw a walker that somebody had left in the hallway. I went as quickly as I could to it and made it right before I nearly collapsed. “Zoey.” I said softly. “Josephine.” I said a bit louder. “Rachel.” I said, muffled by my sudden sob. “Where are you guys? I know you guys are here. Please answer me.” I cried, failing to hold back my tears. Somebody brushed past me. “Zoey?!” My head jerked up, hanging on to the little hope I had. “Oh my gosh, Jessica!” I heard a familiar voice say.“Josephine?!” I said, almost in disbelief. “No no honey. I read this book a few years back in 7th grade,and I forgot the name of the series and the name of the author and I want to continue it. The series is fantasy,and other than Harry Potter,this was one I enjoyed. It's about this world where there's a bunch of tall towers,and warlocks live inside them,they have shadow creatures that follow them to protect the warlocks. The characters do magic utilizing stones,and they have ranks based on color codes (ie purple is high and orange is low). The first novel in the series is about this boy in a family ranked (orange) and he needs to get those stone things because his mother is sick. He bribes high ranking guards to get into the tower and he tries to steal one,he falls down thousands of feet because he's attacked by creatures that protect them. Other than the towers,the rest of the world is icy. He meets this tribal people and makes friends with some girl. At first he believes himself far more civilized than them. I read this Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows fan novel before the actual book came out. And now I'm trying to find it b/c it was pretty good and i really want to read it again. It was a pretty long, about as long as the real book and it was thought to be a leaked version of the real 7th installment but it wasn't. In the book Harry was pondering whether to bring Ginny or not on their mission, and he ends up bringing her (this is the beginning). a lot of the middle is really fuzzy. I remember them going to Hephzibah Smiths house (converted into a museum by Zacharias smith's family) to find hufflepuffs cup. At the end they're staying at Tonk's mom's place which is at a beach, and malfoy has to stay their too b/c his parents and everyone are dead and she's his only living relative. Erm....just a question here: if under-age wizards (or witches) really wanted their name in the goblet....could they have used "Wingardium Leviosa"? did the ending of the last harry potter book piss you off or is it just me. it made me really mad that he would name his kids lily, james, and albus servous. i was just like thats soooo stupid. i also thought i was stupid how harry could live through that again, and no one noticed that he was still alive? no thats stupid. they couldnt see/hear him breathing? i dont know the ending made my madeven though i hate the stuff i mentioned i still loved the books more

In my opinion, The best words ever written can be found in the 7th book. This one is after Ron walked out on Harry and Hermione. Harry finds himself taking out the Marauder's Map and waiting for Ron's dot to reappear on the map: However, Ron did not appear on the map, and after a while Harry found himself taking it out simply to stare at Ginny's name in the girls' dormitory, wondering wheater the intensity with which he gazed at it might break into her sleep, that she would know he was thinking about her, hoping that she was all right.And this one, when Harry visits his parents' graves in Godric's Hollow: And tears came before he could stop them, boiling hot then instantly freexing on his face, and what was the point in wiping them off or pretending? He LET them fall, his lips pressed together, looking down at the thick snow hiding from his eyes the placehwere he knew the last of Lily and James lay, bones now, surley, or dust, not knowing that their living son stood so near, his heart still beating, alive because of their sacrafice and close to wishing, at ths moment, that he was sleeping under the snow with them. It just amazes me that J.K can write such words on a simple piece of paper, and give them meaning, feeling, depth. It's amazing, is it not, that she has such talent. You may joke and say that Harry Potter is stupid or 'gay' but such talent, as you will never know, lays in these books. Many lessons, and creativity. I didn't enjoy either book or movie much. I liked the 4th, 6th and 7th ones the best. The 2nd one was okay too, I liked the part where Tom Riddle's name get scrambled into "I am lord voldemort" I thought it was pretty sweet.Actually, I think it was the other way around. Resolved Question: Why do people get sad or angry when characters in books die?

Harry Potter for example. After the 7th book was released, people were like "Omg! why did <character name> have to die!? I cried so much at that part!" Or "Why the hell did she have to kill off <character name>? I got really mad. I don't understand why she had to kill off characters for no reason" In case you people have forgotten, this is a work of fiction! meaning the characters, events, places and settings are NOT REAL. Resolved Question: Rephrased very tough HARRY POTTER QUESTION!! --?

What is mainly troubling me is, that for example when Harry said voldemorts name and the Death eaters tracked him to his tent, why didn't they all disapparate. I don't think cowardice is a good answer. It is at these type of times that I ask why don't (not can't) the characters dissaparate. This way it would be almost impossible for any wizar or witch to get killed, as long as they staid away from the few anti-disapparate places. Just keep a head up and dissapparate when you hear enemies coming. Also if the ministry can track disapparation then why don't death eaters follow Harry, Hermoine, (and Ron) in the 7th book when they go hopping from place to place.Thanks so far. I thing that to answer that the story wouldn't be intersting if she did that just furthers the point that it's not realistically written. As far as my second Q, your right it's not a good Q, it was just a response to someone else. I also don't think shock is a good answer, because you just have to always be ready to disapparate whenever your in trouble. It's more a fundemental question that just a one-time problem. It seemes strong to me because from the way I read the book it seems she overlooked this problem, because she writes about disapparating only when it conveniently fits into her plot, not when it's a realistic thing for them to do.
