Rooms Game Boy Advance Questions asked

Voting Question: What kind of revenge can I suspect from a tie up game?

My parents had gone out for a business dinner or something and I was left in charge me 17 my sister 14. I had arranged for one of my friends to come around and we were going to play a joke on my sis. we were both in the living room and I got up and went and let my friend (at the backdoor) in and then I was tied and before I was gagged I let out a yell/scream sort of noise. my sis came running and when she saw me She rushed into the room to untie me but my friend grabbed her and tied and gagged her. She was so sacred cause she thought we were being robbed or something. I was dragged to another room where I had my friend ungag me and put fake blood on me. my sis was dragged in also and my friend advanced on her with a knife but she was really distressed and I couldn't help it but we had to end it there. she thought I was dead and boy was she pissed. So do you think it was cruel what we did? and what kind of things would you do to get me back because she swore revenge. more

Resolved Question: How do I get rid of batteries?

I'm trying to clean out a room and have found some old batteries. They're just the small batteries for Game Boys and CD players (triple a and double a). I've looked online for places where I can give these batteries but haven't had any luck. Are there any stores/corporation stores that will take them? I heard Radioshack takes batteries, but there's no store near me. And if you wanna take some time to help me by looking for places where I can dump them online, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Thanks in advance more

Resolved Question: Part 1 of my 'ideal school' essay.?

I wrote this essay for a contest. how's my 'ideal school'? My ideal school would be a boarding school, placed in a great city named Venheimen, far-far in the future. My ideal school would have around 2000 students and be named Morgan Aniston Secondary Boarding School, after the great man who founded the city. In my fictional universe, education starts at the age of 6 and ends at 16, with the option of university for the graduates. Students from the age of 6 to 11 go to primary school, where they would take the Primary School Examination (PSE) which will decide which secondary school they would go to. Students 12 to 16 go to secondary school and take the Secondary School Examination (SSE) at the age of 16. In my ideal school, classes start at 9am and finish at around 4pm, with lunch at noon lasting 1 hour. Friday classes end 1 hour early. Students study compulsory subjects such as English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Science, Astrology, Computer Technology, World History, Basic Geography and Creative Art and have a choice to study elective courses such as French, Chinese, German, Biology, Chemistry, Advanced Computer Technology, Advanced Geography, Space Research, Business Studies, Music and Professional Art. Students are required to take at least 2 elective courses. Creativity is highly encouraged among students in the school. Students create an endless stream of new inventions, letting their dreams come to life, though not all of which are positive and work well. Once, a group of boy students built a war robot to battle against another team’s robot. The robot went awry, grabbing a hair design and fashioning machine made by a group of girl students and started hitting everyone on the head with it. To end the situation, a group of teachers and students hit the robot on the head with sledgehammers and mallets. The robot returned the hair design and fashioning machine to its creators, who were given such a bad haircut they had to be warded for shock. There is a computer room with virtual-reality computers where the internet is an interactive space one can delve in. Antivirus programs are virtual rifles held in one’s hand shooting corrupt files and viruses. Games are played with eye goggles and motion sensor gloves. The virtually unlimited number of games forced the school to limit computer time to 2 hours a week on weekends because students were spending 20 hours a day in the computer lab. This has upset many students. There is a hair salon for girls where they change their hair to any style and colour they want. Every Friday there are arms training lessons given to all students at 3pm. This is because all healthy 17 years olds have to go for military service for 1 year. They are taught the art of Gunkata, martial arts with weapons, the notoriously difficult art of avoiding an enemy’s weapon fire and firing your gun, practiced with click guns. Unarmed combat training is also given, causing a worrying trend of kung fu fights in the halls and full hospital wings every Friday. The secondary objective for arms training is to relieve the stress the students feel after a weeks worth of classes and homework. Students are free to leave the school on weekends and wander around the city or return home as long as they are back by 8pm on Sunday. Students are strictly forbidden from borrowing live weapons from the arms locker at all times. Breakfast consists of buttered toast, oatmeal, porridge, cereal, eggs, sausages and jam with coffee. Lunch, Steamed rice, cornmeal, bread, chicken, fish, vegetables and potatoes, whereas dinner is a hearty affair of lamb chops, roast chicken, vegetables and potatoes with Yorkshire pudding. The students select their desired meal on computer screens and their order will be served within 2 minutes. Students are allowed to be creative with their food as well, creating many awkward, strange and downright disgusting combinations of food. Instant noodles were served when there was a feast and everyone finished everything in the kitchens save for nissin noodles. A breakdown in communication (the telephone broke, and no one could call telecoms) ensured hearty meals of noodles 3 times a day for a week. There was a decrease in interest in noodles among all students. Students are also allowed to cook their own meals during cooking classes once a week to improve their skills. Many students found their hidden talent, creating exceptional meals of great taste, while many others find that their talents lay elsewhere, because their cooking was utterly repulsive. Once some students made Beef Wellington using a real, stinking Wellington boot stuffed with old beef they bought from a bargain bin and fried in mashed potato gravy, the smell of which caused 5 students to faint and 1 teacher poisoned because she was forced to try it, and let us not talk of the time someone tried to make a Baked Alaskan. Students are required to spend 2 hours a day in study rooms, more

Voting Question: Is there something strange about a 13 year old boy denying to be more than 2 days w/o his 14 year old sister?

I am screening for Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) here which is something I am versed in over several years of research and working on treatments for this disorder. I am asking for a second opinion on a particular case because -- some of the responses from the subjects I am hearing from -- suggest a more advanced stage of PAS than what I originally suspected. With cases of parental alienation, It is when the child internalizes the alienating attitudes of the alienating parent (the AP) and begins to do things (e.g lie for the AP in approval seeking from them to avoid contact with the Target Parent, or "TP") that the behavior has progressed from the child being merely confused and torn between parents, to that of a full blown syndrome and disorder that may need some intervention. Subject case is a 13 year-old male, youngest of 3 with two older sisters ages 14 and 19. Subject has lived with his custodial mother and for the past 7 years has only gotten to visit electronically with the non-custodial father over 1500 miles away by webcam, telephone, and internet despite the father's numerous attempts to arrange in person visitation. The mother has broken the law on many occasions by denying legal in-person visitation and insists by deed but not word that any in-person visitation be supervised by some other entity she can manipulate or control, even though there is no need for supervision or court order to mandate that supervision is necessary in this case. It is the AP's game of CONTROL such that she refuses to relinquish the child to one-on-one time with the TP if it is in-person and not sever-able electronically by turning off the webcam or telephone which she has done many times in the past such that the authorities have had to step in to re-establish access between the child and the father. The 13 year old male is normal in most ways...enjoys skateboarding, playing video games, is showing success as a wrestler in school sports, and has an interest in working out / lifting weights to impress the girls. The male does have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, however, and is taking medication which his mother administers. This male is frequently heckling his sister (20 months older), competes for access to the computer, and is often invading her privacy and her room as children and young adults may sometimes do. The sister responds with her own measures to put her brother down, belittle him, and control him where she can with her rules of access to anything that is in her domain. Both attend different schools and have their own set of friends as well as interests. So when the 13 year-old male claims he could not go visit in person with his father without his sister present because he would "get lonely" and "miss her" even if it was for two or three nights, does this sound like the mind set of a healthy 13 year old male? Or might it be the response the Alienating Parent has conditioned him to adopt so as to always have an agent (in this case the older sister, but still a minor under her roof and under her control) who can report anything that happens? Is it normal for a male to be so tied to a sibling at this age that they cannot enjoy themselves independently, if even with another member of their family? Or does this smack of more fully advanced case of PAS, perhaps even accentuated by the AP's administration of psychotropic drugs to the unsuspecting male child? How many rough-and-tumble macho-like 13 year old boys can't stand to be for very long without their older sister? And it is important to note that the AP started with the whole idea that she would not allow the children to visit the TP independently (even if court-allowed to do so), and that after this, the children started to mimic this idea. Court orders do not mandate visitations be separate and independent between the children, but they also do not require they be together either. Discretion is allowed for arrangements to be made between the parents for visitation configuration but the AP is refusing to consider 1-on-1 visitations for reasons she cannot justify or explain. It is believed that the AP has a fear that the children will bond more with the TP if allowed to visit 1-on-1 versus with another child competing for attention. 1-on-1 time should be balanced with group time, but the AP refuses to consider anything but group time which is suspect in the understanding of how PAS takes root and progresses. Something is not right here. What do you think? Be aware that there are absolutely no issues of child safety, past or present in this case, and that the father is completely fit and acceptable by all measures to enjoy the full benefit of unsupervised visitation with his children as sanctioned by the court appointed psychologist and as mandated by the family judge presiding over this case in his orders for the mother to oblige unsupervised visitation.Because this case is more complex, I take the time to explain it as a case study with sufficient details such that practitioners with experience can opine what may be going on here. I am not looking for a cursory review from Responders who are not familiar with parenting or PAS and wish only to shoot off complaints that the question is too long. This is a forum for real information exchange in search of answers and not a social site or mosh pit for verbal gaming and one-up-manship. If you have, however, experience with 13 year olds who are so insecure, they cannot go anywhere for more than a couple of days without their sibling, I'd like to hear from you. Phobias do exist and if this is a real insecurity, it needs to be addressed. But if this is really just a cleverly disguised ploy implemented by the AP to continue their many-year game of alienation, your opinion on that score would be appreciated as well.To Responder NotYou311: Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and other mental health practitioners frequent Yahoo! Answers such that they are able to provide helpful answers without compromising confidentiality. This was written as a case study with no names mentioned, so while you wish to chastise pretending there is something wrong with discussing mental health issues in a public forum, you are incorrect as all valid questions are welcome within the guidelines and this one happens to deal with a common mental health phenomenon and not a subject that needs to be kept in hiding . If you have nothing of value to offer and only wish to criticize, collect 2 points and move on, please don't respond at all or waste your time or others. And speaking of point-gaming... To Responders Megzilla and MyFamilyin2009, you didn't read the question and did precisely what I asked responders NOT to do, i.e. prejudge because you didn't want to read the details but wanted 2 points anyway. Resolved Question: What are your suggestions for disciplining a seven year old?

Wow seams all my questions lately have been about my seven year old. Well this time it's very different case. Today he came to me and asked if he could go to the neighbors house and wrestle with their little boy. I told him no because of how cold it is outside and I really didn't approve of the child's parents. I told him no and then he started yelling at me, saying he hated me, and jumping up and down throwing a tantrum. On Friday I got stitches because I sliced my finger while cutting food in the kitchen so it as been a little harder to do things around the house. He knows that I am in pain and that I don't want to deal with anything more then I have to. (Don't take it as I'm being a big baby pr anything I know what mother hood takes and I'm willing to do it all no matter how much pain.) So he has been taking advantage of that. It is really very frustrating to me because as I've said before he does not do this with his father. The only thing that I know from experience to do is what my parents did with me when I was younger. I sent him to his room and took away all video games, TV and everything else he enjoys. I told him that if he didn't straighten up then it was going to make mommy really upset and that he didn't want to do that. So when he kept doing it I had to resort to the last option that I knew to do. I spanked him. Nothing to hard but not just a love tap either. I let him no that he did wrong, but that it wasn't out of anger. Then he became very upset with me and continued jumping. Our house is about 100 years old and he doesn't respect that yet but I really hate it when he feels the need to destroy the things that we have provided him with. I'm so sorry that this is so long but I really need anyone's advice. So please help me, don't condemn me and tell me I'm a horrible parent, but then again let me know what I may be doing wrong. Let me try to see things through your eyes. After all I'm only 5' 3" and he is 4' 9" so If I see it through your eyes It may seam as though I'm looking him in the eyes at eye level. Thank you so much in advance!!! more

Resolved Question: Would you read this book?

Just imagine a world full of magic and mystery, myths becoming real. That is what Mike Scholmyer wishes his life was all about, but no he had to be born with pale, freckly skin, overweight, and unsocial. He had no friends, except for his little hamster he had in his room, along with the library in the back of his closet. He loved books he lived in a big mansion with four floors his mom and dad were dicorced and he lived with his mom. Mike was walking home from school one day and saw Bruce NetGal walking down the street toward him. Mike looked across the street to see Bruce's friends coming to him. "Jay-walker!" He yelled and ran the oppisite way he was going. When he turned the corner onto Blueberry Lane he saw more of Bruce's friends coming to him. He was trapped he waited at the corner for the beating he always got. "Hey rich-boy," Bruce said. "Shut up!" Mike whispered. "What'd you just say to me?" He asked. "I said shut up, fatty!" Mike didn't know why he was saying these things. His friends pushed Mike into Bruce. Bruce punched Mike in the nose. Mike started crying. "What a baby!" Bruce yelled and let Mike fall to the ground, then kicked him in the stomach. Mike started balling, and for some reason put his hand up and said some words he didn't even know bruce got pushed back into a house. Mike got up holding his nose wondering what happened. He decided to run before Bruce got up and hit him again. When Mike came home he planned to go through the kitchen into the bathroom and wipe his bloody nose before his mom saw him. But his mom was in the kitchen ordering their maid to cook cookies, and instantly she saw Mike's nose. "Mike this is the seventh time this week." "Mom it's o-" "I have no choice I have to send you to boarding school away from this Bruce. I've called his mom five times and she doesn't do anything." Boarding school, Mike thought, not such a bad Idea. "Ok yeah I'll go." Mike said. "Good you will leave tommorow." Mike went upstairs to get packed. The next morning Mike woke up at 9:00 A.M. his flight left at 11:15 A.M. He went into his bathroom and took a shower and got dressed. got his bag and brang some video games for his psp to play. By the time he did that it was 10:30. His driver took him to the airport. He was in his seat by 11:14. He looked around no one was on the plane except him and the stuartess (or something) then a girl came through the curtain and sat right by him. "Hi I'm Alicia Cooper who are you?" Mike looked at her bright blue eyes. "I'm Mike Scholmyer." They shook hands. Mike found out they wuld be going to the same school. two more people came into the plane and Mike found out that there names were Jake and Jassmin Kittinson they were twins. Right when they sat in there seat the seat belt sign went on. All four put on there seat belt. then without warning they shot into the air. Mike looked outside to see how high they were but the plane was going to fast. Then something blurred into vision it was a person. At first Mike thought the person was flying then the person came out of the clouds Mike saw it was a male with something black in his hand. To Mike it looked like a black fire ball he tapped Alicia and told her to look out the window. Mike took off his seat belt, grabbed Alicia's arm and guided her over to the twins. "Guys we need to tell the pilot that there is some kind of terrorist outside." "What?" Jake asked. he got up and looked through the window and saw the man. The man looked straight at Jake and threw the fire ball at the plane. "Move!" Jake screamed. They ran to the front of the plane. BOOM! they heard behind them. They looked in the pilot's chair no one was in there they were alone. they went back to where their seats were but now it was just air. Alicia feinted Jake picked her up with Mike's help. They saw the ground advancing toward them Mike said some words by instinct and they plummeted to the ground. And then it was black. Jack woke up in a hospital bed. He had a huge headache. he looked over to see Alicia in the bed next to him. She looked at him and smiled. Jake and Jassmin were asleep in chairs next to the beds. He tried to get out of bed but his back was sore. An old man came in and said, "Hello are you finally awake?" "Who are you?" Mike asked. "Mace Stormbringer." "Oh ok where are we?" "You are at SpringWater Boarding school for gifted children." Jassmin yawned. "Oh your a wake!" She got up and hugged Mike and then Alicia. "Gifted what do you mean gifted? There's nothing special about me." Mike said. "Tell me, has anything weird happened to you lately?" "Well yeah I accidentally pushed a bully across the street." Mike said. "I made my little brother disapear." Alicia said. "Nope." Jassmin said. "Nope." Jake said. "Well some mages can't accidentally cast an incantation." Mace explained That's as far as I got in my story. Resolved Question: Scorpio men and casual sex? Please help, really long!?

Okay, so I went to middle school with my scorpio man 10 years ago and had the biggest crush on him. I was really shy back then so I never talked to him though. He joined the military after graduation and I moved away my junior year (we were going to different schools by then) and that was that. Flash forward 10 years later and with the help of MySpace, I found him again. He sent me a surprise message (we hadn't talked before this even though he had been on my friend list for about a year) back in April and we ended up talking on IM for 4 hours, just playing the "getting to know each other" game. Then, nothing. Come this past October, he was back in town and I ran into him at a place I used to work at. I gave him my number and he texted me that weekend saying he wanted to take me out on a date. We went out a few days later and it was amazing, he was so sweet. He dropped me back at my house and gave me a hug (which was diappointing because I was hoping he'd try and kiss me). We found out that we were both going to be up in the city (we're from a small town) that following weekend so we made plans to meet up and hang out again (he was flying back to where he was stationed at afterwards). We texted throughout the week and everything was gravy. That weekend we met up and he and I hung out together with a bunch of our friends at a bar. We all ended up back at one of his friend's house and got completely smashed. After everyone had gone to bed, we ended up sleeping together before cuddling up on the couch and passing out. The next morning I felt really awkward so I left him alone while we were all watching the football game on tv (we were in a big college town). He was sleeping on and off throughout the game, and I didn't want to bother him, so I text him (yes... he was 3 feet away from me and I STILL text him... I didn't want the other people in the room to know) and sort of apologized for what had happened. I'm not the type of girl to just sleep around and I didn't want him thinking that about me. After I apologized, he just said "it's all good"... so I text him back and said something about that fact that I was genuinely into him and he said, "good, me too". After the game, he offered to give me a ride back to my friend's house (the girl I was staying with) so I accepted. Before he dropped me off, we made plans to see each other again the following week (he's stationed in SC and I was flying to a town about 30 mins away from him for my fall break... my plans were made months in advance to seeing him again... how crazy!) However, the day he got back to work, he text me and said that he just found out one of his "boys" was leaving and having a going-away party and he was going to have to "punk out" on me. So we continued to talk but didn't actually get to see each other again before I flew back home. Now, he's coming back home for good next month and wants to hang out with me again... but I'm worried. He has continued to talk to me and gives off a heavy impression that he's really into me, but I don't want him to see me as the "party girl who sleeps around". I talked to one of our mutual friends about it and she told me that he is a really good guy and that I should pursue it 100%. Are scorpio men into casual sex? How do I go about showing him that I really like him and want to date, and not just sleep with him? I'm a Cancer, btw. Thanks!! more

Resolved Question: Hm, brutal honesty anyone?

Please tell me what you think of my new series of short fiction prose poems, thanks in advance :) (these are meant to be random and strange and hopefully charming.) ------------------------------------------- 1. bigger than the sky. “What do you want to be when you grow up?,” the teacher asked. The kids went around the room answering “Marine Biologist” and “Video Game Designer.” It came to Jude, and he answered quietly. “An angel.” The same answer he’d always given, for his 11 years of life. The other kids laughed at him now, they said angels weren’t real and maybe he could be the tooth fairy instead. Jude smiled sweetly, “There are 12 in the room right now.” His dark blue eyes glittered the whole way to the counselors office. They found his body in the wreckage with his arms stretched to his sides like wings. 2. with a heart in nantucket. “Pigeons are the loneliest animals.” She writes on page 392 of her chemistry book. They peck around asking “who, who?” ‘I don’t know who.” she says, “but I’ll tell you if I find them.” 3. Humans have to sleep because their face would melt if they didn’t. Their bones would disintegrate into a fine white powder like high grade cocaine and it would be sold in ounces on the street (you could snort your mother or cousin). 4. wishes spread weeds. There was nothing between them at first. Maybe a piece of dust floating occasionally, like a white puff of a dandelion seed that your brother blew last summer and got in trouble; they spread weeds, your dad had said. Gradually though, more grew between them. She knew how he felt when he looked at her a certain way, he began to memorize the number of gold flecks in her eyes when she squinted in the sun. She stopped shuffling her feet and looking away when he spoke to her. He started telling her his dreams of migrating sparrows being electrocuted on telephone lines. 5. I tried to drown myself in the bathtub once. From under the water music sounded beautiful, like a sunken orchestra. I opened my eyelids so something would be on them when they finally fluttered backwards. Glancing towards the cracked window, with its red orange light of the city outside, I noticed a tiny faded heart in one pane. My mother must have drawn in in the drops of steam that clung to the window that morning, like butterflies trying to escape. Tracing it with her finger, I wonder who she was thinking of. 6. The dead flies on the windowsill called my name. They begged me to breathe warm air on them and bring them back to life. “I’m not David Blaine. I’m not a street magician, or Jesus.” I said. They said they understood and sat on their colorful backs, like puddles of oil in the street. They stayed there, staring at the frozen bricks and hazy street lights. Until, they disintegrated into tiny shells of bodies, their wings so beautiful and perfect you wanted to make earrings out of them. Then, they were gone. There is no fly Heaven or Hell. The have no inner conflict, they just exist to spread disease and make babies in the flesh of dead rabbits crushed in the asphalt. 7. If I swing on a tire does that make it a tire swing? If it was on fire would it be a fire swing? 8. The girl was so light in his arms. He was afraid she might float away into the exploding sky so he gripped her bones tighter. He ran down the cobblestone streets, checking around the corners of buildings and columns before he continued running, but the were all empty. The trees rustled brokenly and the groaning in their trunks became the mournful song of that night he tries so hard to forget. He hears that song in his dreams now, amid the fragments of memory and blue. It plays on repeat, with the static of a well-worn record. 9. A Ballad to Mike in Accounting: I love you. 10. “I drew the rose on your shirt.” she said quietly to the boy sitting in the desk in front of her. Voting Question: I think I am being verbally abused, need advice/help getting out.?

I have been married over 5 years and i have 2 kids, ages 2 and 4. I never wanted to be the type to have to go through a divorce. I recently made a friend online who is a guy from an online game that my husband and I were playing. However i have quit the game because it was taking alot of my time and i wanted more time with my kids. My husband still plays it tho. If anyone has ever played world of warcraft you will know how addicting it is =/ Anyways, recently i began talking to my new friend after i got to know him about how certain things were in my marriage, he told me i am being verbally abused and that i should get out before it gets worse. i didnt even see it like that til i went online and read things and its exactly what is happening, the name calling, the blaming, mocking, rolling eyes, never wants to listen if i want to talk about our marriage, etc etc. I am hurt because he will get in these moods where he isnt like that but is hardly affectionate anymore. i eat alone with my kids most of the time, and many nights i go to bed alone til he decides to come to bed. I also talked to my closest sister, she said the same, that it was verbal abuse. I want to leave, but i am afraid to because i was a stay at home mom, i have my 2 boys and we only have one vehicle which is in my husbands name and we are still paying on. I have no vehicle and i have 2 credit cards in my name, i am afraid if i leave that they will let my husband keep my kids and i wont get to see them much anymore. i dont really have family i can stay with because they have kids and no room for 3 more people. I could get a vehicle on my card, but that just adds to debt. I dont know what to do and the more days go by, the more worse and depressed i feel. I cant suggest counceling because he refuses. I grew up in a life of no affection even by my parents and i feel like if something dont give that i will become very depressed. i dont want to go down that road. if anyone may have went through similar i would appreciate any advice. thanks in advance. more

Resolved Question: stupid boys; need major help!?

k so this summer i went on a tour of Europe with college and i met this boy that went to another school. we hit it off and got along great. we laughed and talked and whatever. after we got back home we got eachothers numbers and promised to keep in touch. we texted and started talking like we wanted to date. i told him he sould come pick me up and we could do something he came... picked me up.... and we went to a movie. we got super close and made out and stuff (weird) and i thougt that that would seal the deal. after that we talked like nothing had changed, but i was wrong. at an All-County band practice that was held at his school came along, i walked into the band room not even looking for him, but there he was. he was trying to get my attention by coughing real loud. i looked and he was putting his arm around some girl and looking at me. i ust played it off, but inside i was DIEING seriously how could he do this to me?! next thing i know he tells me thats his girlfriend. i totally feel dirty because he used me for some "action" why would he do that? hes heartless. i texted him and i told him that he needs to start playing games, and he told me that he maned up. WTF what do i do? do i talk to him? im stressting out. thanks in advance? (: more

Resolved Question: Trapped in Mother 3 (Earthbound 2) game!?

I was playing the English translation of Mother 3, and I was in Osohe Castle, in the dead end room with the mouse that says "Many of the ghosts here are pretty friendly, huh?", and I'm literally trapped behind him. I got behind him on the far side of the stairs, and now he wont go downstairs, and I cant go upstairs and around him because of the fallen pillar. Because of both left and down buttons going downstairs, and up and right buttons going upstairs, I have no way around him. I've already tried exiting and opening it back up, but it just brings me back to where I was before. Without deleting my entire file, is there any way to get around him? I'm using a Visual Boy Advance, in case you're wondering. Here's an image of how and where exactly I'm stuck. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j63/angel4u185/stuck.jpg Thank you for anyone who can help me!If it helps a bit more, it's the staircase near the room with the partying ghosts.I forgot to add, I'm in Chapter 2, when Wes's son is trying to steal that item in the castle. more

Resolved Question: Did the GAME BOY ADVANCE have backlighting?

I've just bought a second-hand Game Boy Advance and the screen has no backlighting at all on any of the games. To see anything on the screen one needs to be in a very well lit room. It certainly can't be played in the dark. Is this how the early Gameboys functioned? more

Resolved Question: How would a 14 year old (me) get into (the basics of) electrical engineering?

Well, first off, I'm not sure if it's electrical engineering, or electronic engineering. Actually, I don't know if it's either. I guess I'll describe it a bit. I've always liked taking apart broken electronics (such as CD players, portable games, digital cameras, etc), one time I took apart a CD player and a cassette player, and made a top that spun for 3 minutes straight. I also broke my game boy advanced about 4 years ago, so I took it apart and fixed it somehow. About a week ago I found a old RC boat that has been in my room for the past 3 years, and you couldn't turn left, only right. So I took it apart and fixed it. Just small things like that. And actually, my dream is to make one of those war bots, and terrorize the neighborhood cats (and kids, hehe). Would that be robotics, would I have to learn electric engineering too? I really don't know much about it, I've never had any lessons or anything like that. I do have a electronic 200 in 1 thing that lets you build all kinds of things with pre-made pieces, that you just snap to each other in the right places and such. It's called "Kid Inventor Creative Electronics Kit". I've had it since I was about 10, and it seems more like something for littler kids, but I never really paid attention to the lessons, I just tried to make the things in it that had instructions. I never read how it works or anything. To get into electrical/electronic engineering, does it require a lot of math? I've always been kinda bad at math, maybe this will give me the motivation to get better at math.. Any help, info, or tips would be greatly appreciated. The only bad thing is I can't spend very much, so free is best, but cheap is ok too. I'm home schooled, 14, and live 20 miles from a actual town. Does that effect anything? Thanks!Oh, I forgot to mention, I would rather do it as a hobby/side job, but that could change. That's one thing I was kind of wondering, if people started out by just taking things apart and trying to fix/mod them. That's pretty much all I wanted to know, but one last thing: Is there some websites out there made specifically for tutorials (videos?) on how to do specific (beginner) things? At wonderhowto.com there's plenty, but not quite what I'm looking for. Thanks! more

Voting Question: boy trouble helpppppp!! please..?

Okay so me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 4 months now. and all of a sudden like two days ago we got into a little fight basically about nothing. and when i was going to leave his house he wouldnt give me a kiss so i just stormed out of his room and left. so the next day i find out that he didnt go to work so i just left him alone all day cause he was working on his car and i just wanted to give him time to himself. well later that night i was hanging out with two friends and we were going to go to an arcade just to play some games cause we didnt want to sit around all night, and i find out that hes there, weird right. so instead we end up going to his house, i didnt say anything to him because i was trying to not talk to him all day, so later that night we go another friends house and we still havent talked so when he goes to leave he just walks right past and didnt say anything, so i got a little upset and went out to his truck and talked to him. i asked him what was wrong and he said that he didnt want to talk about it cause he was tired. well then today i ended up having to see him for an awards ceremony. so i go to leave his house he still wouldnt give me a kiss so i asked him what his problem was and all he said was i dont know. so i asked if we could talk tomorrow and once again all i get is i dont know... so i dont know if i should just leave him alone for a while and just let him figure things out and not keep asking him or try to talk to him to get him to tell me whats on his mind. because i feel like he knows whats on his mind and he just doesn't want to tell me... thanks in advance. =] more

Voting Question: very greedy sibling?

my brother is extremely greedy and i mean extremely. he doesnt mind other ppl having things, but he never stops asking for something. like, two weeks ago he asked and asked and asked and asked and asked and asked for new action figures, then my mom finally caved and bought them for him. the very next day he was begging for a nintendo 64. he begged and begged until he finally got it. THEN two days after that he was saying he wants her to buy him a nintendo ds. he alreddy has a ps2, a gamecube, a nintendo 64, hundreds of games, a room literally ful to bursting with toys, two gameboy advances, twelve gamboy games, A BRAND NEW PUPPY, and the only damn thing he can think about is what he does not have. he has all that and he is constantly asking for new video games, or toys. now he is asking for nintendo ds, new computer games, trading cables and lots more. and as soon as he gets these things, he forgets about them and focuses on what her wants next. he has only played his n64 seven times, and hasnt played with anything for weeks, and he is so freeking greeedy! and my mom refuses to notice that he isnt the super perfect cute wittle boy he used to be, so she just keeps feeding his greed. my parents have declared us as dirt poor, thoise r their exact words, and yet she duz not hesitate to buy him an extremely new expensive game system. i am christian, and i know greed is a horible things that will just get worse, what do i do? more

Resolved Question: Essay lol?

Lakendra Wright English 102 7/6/08Essay 2 Ways to Balances the Children’s Technology Use Technology affects the way people learn, converse, and think. It helps define society and determines how we interact with others on a daily basis. One downfall to technology is the lack of monitoring that occurs on many web pages, which causes pornography and terrorist ideals to be easily reached (Internet). Some would say that technology such as computers have done more harm than good when it comes to the influence on society. Here are some tips to balance technology in your child’s life. Look for symptoms of internet dependency. Keep all computers in the open. Help your child socialize offline. Look for symptoms of internet dependency. There are physical and psychological factors that could tell you whether or not someone you know is indeed an internet addict (Internet). A conspicuous sign internet addiction is when a person lies about the amount of time they spend online; and the purposes in which they use the internet for (Internet). An average person spends two hours a day on the internet. An internet addict spends approximately 8 hours a day on the internet (Internet). Internet addicts give themselves and others a hard time when they can not go online. Oftentimes, internet addicts learn to "manipulate" the people around them just so they can sustain the addiction (Internet). If anything or anyone tries to get in the way of their computer time, they will instantly succumb into anxiety and depression (Internet). As with any addiction, internet dependency comes with a price. If your loved one is getting deeper in debt because of the amount of cash he spends on anything related to computer software and hardware and its use membership fee on favorite sites, online purchases, etc., it is time to consider checking him or her in an addiction treatment center. Dr. Jerald Block, a psychiatrist, is on a mission to make internet addiction a medical condition. Studies show that five to ten percent of internet users are addicts (Internet). Help your child socialize offline. Children whom are unpopular or shy with peers are often attracted to the opportunities for creating new identities in online communities (About Parents). Boys, in particular, are frequent users of online role-playing games, and portable video games where they assume new identities, and interact with other players (About Parents). Although playing these games with thousands of other users may appear to be a social activity, for the reserved child or teen, excessive playing can further detach them from friends and peers. Parents should encourage children to participate in recreational teams or clubs to keep them socializing with peers. The growing obesity rate among children has grown immensely since new advances in technology (Internet). In today’s society, children spend more time at home, instead of outside socializing actively among their peers. Keep the computer out in the open. Children should not have computers in there rooms at any age. By keeping the computer out in the open parents can effectively regulate their child’s time spent on the computer. As a result, it keeps children from being involved in inappropriate web use. Invest in parental control software that bans inappropriate websites (Microsoft). Parents should make sure they educate their children about online pedophiles. Pedophiles often pretend they are children to gain the confidence of real children (Microsoft). Parents should establish rules for online use. Screen what your kids plan to post online. Ask yourself, as a parent, are you comfortable letting your kids share certain information online. Tell your children not to put photos of themselves on the Internet, or to give out their names, addresses, phone numbers, schools, or other personal information online (Microsoft). Parents should know the dangers of the websites the child frequently visits. Create an open relationship with your child (Microsoft). How can technology in society get any better? From refrigerators that tell when it is time to restock our favorite beverage, to ovens that cook and then cool your meal. Technology has revolutionized society in good and bad ways. More importantly, it is important that we teach our children how to balance the new inventions of technology. Look for symptoms of internet dependency. Help your child socialize offline. Resolved Question: Caught older boy with younger girl. What to do?

One night I was cleaning the change rooms and showers after a soccer game in the youth league I help coach. It was long after the game, so I thought everyone had gone home when I heard a noise. I went to one of the back rooms and when I peeked around the corner I saw one of the 14 year old girls from my team naked on top of a 17 year old boy from another team and they were having sex. Luckily the were too involved with each other to notice me there, so I quickly and quietly left before they saw me. Now I don't know what to do and if I should stop them if I catch them again? Resolved Question: Short Story Help?

I need a title for my story It is about a teen whos mother died and so he starts to hang out with the wrong people. His dad gets depressed with what he is doing. The kid plays hockey. The dad misses his game intentionally. Th kid goes home and fins an old album of his family which gets him all emotional and he starts to feel bad the way he treated his dad. At this time his dad as an accedient and gets a broken collar bone. The kid tells im how he feels and his dad tells him that its okay as long as he learned what he was doing was wrong. They come home and the dad looks through the album and te boy smiles and goes to his room whishing that there relationship could always be like this. The symbol for the story was the photo album. The title needs to add to the story, not describing what happens. Thank You in advanceI am typing the story write now so I will put up a piece of it very soon.would "Penalty" be a good titleI went inside my house and put my stuff in y room. I came to the living room and saw an old, thick book laying on the coffee table. Curiously, I decided to examine it. As I approached it, a gust of wind howled and blew through the wide window. A photo flew towards my feet. When I picked it up and viewed it, I instantly felt a mixture of emotions. It was a photograph of me when I was younger with my Mom and Dad at our first picnic together. It evoked joyful memories which made me grieve. I looked at the book and realized it was a photo album, one that I never knew we had. As I gradually flipped through the pages of the dusty album, I felt ecstasy and grief by looking at each of the photos. They brought back memories which I cherished and the reminder that my Mom had passed away.i put up a small part from it it would be great if you could help more

Voting Question: He said he needs time... how much?

So me and this guy were dating for 4 months... he asked me out a month and a half ago, I said "yes"but told him that I couldn't because at the time I still had ties with my ex boyfriend (lease issues on the apartment and I still had some feelings for him). We still saw each other everyday and still did the same things, kiss, cuddle, etc. Last week I asked him to be my boyfriend and he said that he couldn't and only saw me as a friend (even though we were still kissing, holding hands, having sex). He was really into me before and I know its my fault I had him, but I just didn't think it was right for me to be official with him until all my ties from the past were gone, but I knew all along I eventually wanted to be with this guy. So yesterday I asked him to come over to my place. I lied and told him that I needed help with something. I made pasta and breadsticks. I set up a table, had wine. I also bought 18 candles and 2 dozen flowers... the first dozen I scattered all over the room and on the floor. I put the candles all over the room and I lit them up, I told my sister in law to light the candles while i went to go pick him up. ( were both 20 years old). The other dozen flowers I gave to him and had a balloon that said "kiss me." I also bought him a card that said "My game has been off without you" and it had a picture of a little boy losing a baseball game (I also wrote how much he meant to me and that "some people are worth giving another shot"). So I went to pick him up and when he got to my room he was very surprised. At first he didn't know how to react, I kissed him and he seemed hesitant at first but eventually loosened up. While we were both standing up I played "Until the end of time" by Beyonce and Justin (when we took a trip to San Fransisco they kept playing that song) and I told him to dance with me, we did and we hugged and he hugged me tight and I was crying, and he also told me how beautiful I was... . After we had dinner (he really liked the pasta that i made haha) he said "you're gonna make me cry" and I gave him the flowers and the card. After dinner I told him to come sit next to me and we just laid on the floor and we were hugging and he was kissing me. he said that "I am having mixed emotions right now and I don't know what to say... I need time." So before we left I asked him to dance with me again, but he said he had to go... but to my surprise he played the CD again and we danced again and he held me really tight and kissed me. When the song ended he had to go, so I took him home. On our way home I turned on the radio and the song "Love like this was playing" and after that "With you" by chris brown played haha. In the car he held my hand and kissed it. When i dropped him off I told him "All the balls are in your court"... I asked if I should call him and he said "i'll call you." Well he called me that night just to say thank you and he said that he needed time. I asked him that's fine with me but that if he doesn't call within a certain amount of time i'm assuming he's not interested. I didn't give him a set time because I feel if he were to call it should come naturally not forced. But to myself I'm giving him 2 weeks and if he doesn't call then im just gonna move on. So what do you guys think? How much time should I give him? Thanks in advance!I never gave him a set time, I never said "You have 2 weeks or else"..... I just basically told him that i'll give him time, but if he doesn't call within a certain amount of time I am ASSUMING he doesn't have any interest. Because things like this should happen because he wanted to call me in 3 days or 13 days, that was his decision not because I told him he had to. But to myself mentally, to keep me sane haha, I told myself I would give him 2 weeks and if he doesn't call his lost and move on and stop worrying. Also I believe he needs time because, yes, I rejected him earlier and he needs to think if he wants to be with me or not. But I also cut all ties with my ex, changed my number, removed myself from the lease, and I just kind of think how blinded I was that I let such an abusive guy into my life (if "love" begins to hurt LITERALLY then its not love, but I had to learn that the hard way!) more

So I went to pick him up and when he got to my room he was very surprised. At first he didn't know how to react, I kissed him and he seemed hesitant at first but eventually loosened up. While we were both standing up I played "Until the end of time" by Beyonce and Justin (when we took a trip to San Fransisco they kept playing that song) and I told him to dance with me, we did and we hugged and he hugged me tight and I was crying. After we had dinner (he really liked the pasta that i made haha) he said "youre gonna make me cry" and I gave him the flowers and the card. After dinner I told him to come sit next to me and we just laid on the floor and we were hugging and he was kissing me. he said that "I am having mixed emotions right now and I dont know what to say... I need time." So before we left I asked him to dance with me again, but he said he had to go... but to my surprise he played the CD again and we danced again and he held me really tight and kissed me. When the song ended he had to go, so I took him home. On our way home I turned on the radia and the song "Love like this was playing" and after that "With you" by chris brown played haha. Thanks in advance! __________________he also told told me how beautiful I was, haha... just had to throw that in there lol! more

Resolved Question: What would you do?!?!?!?!?

My boyfriend doesn't talk to me because he plays video games all day. I told the boy I like that I liked him and now he won't talk to me. I think I'm pregnant. I don't know what to wear to the dance. I went on a cruise and kissed a girl and I think I might be gay. I'm taking a trip to Toronto and I need to know the best place to get a steak. My dog sheds. My cat eats my curtains. I need to know how to say "I love you, but not like that" in Spanish. My homework is due tomorrow and I need to know what dumb^2/serial rapist + y = cow pie * last Wednesday is. Where's the beef? I might die someday and realize I forgot to ask for forgiveness for coveting that shirt from the GAP. My mom hates me and my dad hates my mom and I hate them both. My bff makes fun of my underwear in the locker room. My breath smells. I'm an alcoholic. I can't find my pants. I'm locked in a room with no door or windows and all I have to work with is a phone book and a petri dish. Thanks in advance. more

Resolved Question: Toshiba Lighting Problems?

Hi I have a Toshiba laptop and today I came home and turned it on and noticed that the screen was EXTREMELY dark. This isn't just something where you squint this is you need a flashlight to see it dark. I've tried Fn and the up brightness key but that doesn't do anything. The battery is full, so it's not that. I'ts like a Game Boy Advanced Sp's screen without the backlight on in a dark room. Remember how dark that is? Can someone please help me because I can't see anything unless I use a flashlight and even then I have to squint.By the way it's a Toshiba Satellite A55-S106 laptop. Is there any way to fix it through the computer? This is my weekend off after a hard wek of school and I haven't been able to do anything and now that I can my stupid laptop screen isn't working. I doubt it's till under warranty and I won't be able to talk to my friends for a while. Help please? more

Resolved Question: What is the best video game console for me?

I used to have a Game Boy Advance...I have no idea where it went, though. =P It disappeared into the black hole of my room, along with all my favorite games. I've never owned a Playstation or anything like that, just Game Boys, but I'll keep an open mind. So: what is a good console, handheld or not, for me to buy? I'm a teenager, and have usually been more into role playing games, but I like a lot of different things. Except for those kind of mindless gory games, or ones related to cars. x_x Thanks in advance for your help, folks. =) more
