Hi, I have a Samsung SCH-U540 and I wanted to know if it is possible to use a VOIP program in order to call through WAP? I know that there are some, however when I tried to download Skype Lite, or Yeigo, I was given the browser error "bad mimetype. attempted to load unsupported file type." What do I do in order to get passed this error, and continue to download? Is there a hack or anything that I can do in order to put an end to this error message. It is imperative that I get this done. I make a lot of international calls, and my cell phone plan is wearing thin on my wallet. I have Skype Unlimited, so if I could get Skype it would be much help. I can't use my Skype to Go account for lack of Skype credit, however I still have the subscription. I just need to be able to find a way to access a Voip program through mobile web, or find a mobile web messenger that allows me to call. Anyone help me out? more

I have just purchased a Blackberry 8900 curve. On my old samsung tocco i had free internet access in my contract package. I want to go onto the internet with my Blackberry but it keeps saying this is a Wi Fi Service. I have an unlocked Samsung Gravity. It was originally used on the T-Mobile network--as well as being purchased from T-Mobile, but is now being used with an AT&T SIM card installed. I can make/receive texts and calls, but when I try to send or download a picture message, it tells me "Unknown subscriber." Can anyone provide me with detailed instructions on how to go about changing the MMS & WAP settings, specifically for this phone, so that it sends/receives via the AT&T network instead?Problem solved. Hi, I have verizon and the samsung glyde. You have to pay per megabyte ($1.99) or you can get the vpak for $15 per month which has unlimited web. I don't really want to pay extra for all these things. Is there a way to get free internet on my phone? I've also heard of free wap...what is it and how do I get it? I'm looking for a free, send directly to phone, ringtones website for Alltel users. I used to go to phonezoo.com, but they stopped being able to do things with Alltel because they're phones suck. I can only get the ringtone/sound if it is sent directly via text or SMS, where I can save it from there. There is no other way because they want to corner the market for $2.99 ringtones (way too outrageous). *I cannot get a ringtone with a WAP connection because no matter how much I try it won't download right. *I can't Bluetooth it because Alltel restricted bluetooth for only pictures and not music. *Alltel and the Wafer sucks, so it's no wonder they discontinued it. So does anyone know of a site that can help me in my situation? I have recently unlocked a Samsung Tocco mobile that had an Orange SIM in it. It now accepts my O2 SIM but it still does not work properly. I have gone into the Network Selection and manually selected O2 - UK Network mode is set to Automatic All of the Connection settings still read: "Orange GPRS WAP Orange MMS Oragne Internet" I have tried to play with the settings and select O2 where ever it allows me. I have tried to read up on this on the internet and to be honest I do not understand alot of what is being said. I came across something about debranding the phone. Is this the way to go? I can't use the phone to contact O2 for help and I've forgotten my log in details for the O2 website and the only option they give is to text me a code - but my phone wont accept texts! I'm a complete novice with mobile phones and unlocking them etc. so any help would be gratefully received. more

Ok. So i got a Samsung Blast a couple months ago. Pretty good phone. Before gettinh te phone a friend of mine was pretty much worshipping Micro SD Cards. I have one. Comes in handy....but i have a few questions about the Blast in General: 1. Is there a way i can take a picture and have it automatically save to the memory card instead of the phone? I find it a little annoying having to move pictures i have taken into the card in order to free up more space to take more pictures. 2. I have gone to a couple wap sites/sites where i can download video clips and what not. If i'm low on memory when i download something, the phone will say, "Phone Memory Full. Save to Memory Card?". I say yes, it downloads completely, but then i always get a "Saving Error" message and i have nothing to show for the download. What gives? 3. On the topic of downloads, I have also tried to download games from different sites. EVERY time i try i always get a "Unsupported Content" message. Why is that? How can i fix that? It is a Samsung thing? A Site thing? Cuz my friend has a Nokia, i think, and has tons of games downloaded to her phone. more
